iPad help

Hello,
So I have been using my iPads in my classroom, but they have previously just been connected to the internet without an Apple ID. I'm wanting to download an app to all of the iPads for students to use in an upcoming unit. Is there a way to set up an id that doesn't have a credit card attached to it soy at kids can't download stuff while they are working on the iPads?  Or other suggestions on how to get one app one 15 iPads?

Thanks

  1. I would check with Mr. Conzet to see what the procedure should be. Schools and counties can do bulk purchases of apps from the Apple Store. I don't know how Wayne County would prefer that be done.

  2. I bought a gift card, made a new apple id and attached it to all my ipads. Then, I set them up to automatically download any apps, that way, when I download to one, the others download it automatically.

  3. Yes, you can set up an Apple ID without a credit card. All of mine are. As far as downloading, if the App is FREE, it is ok to download them on all 15 devices. However, if the App is PAID, then by the Apple "laws" you are to purchase that App for each iPad individually. You can do whatever you want, I'm sure the Apple police will not show up, but just wanted to let you know what the rules were. I haven't purchased anything on mine yet, so I can't tell you what decision I made. :)
