I have been wanting to find a way to get some of the information from Office Mix on videos that I have already made.  I found a site called www.edpuzzle.com.  It looks like you can embed videos and track student activity in a way similar to Mix.  I will keep you updated on this.

Also, would anyone like benefit from a little tutorial on engradewv testing?  I can make a video if anyone would be interested in using that tool.

  2. This edpuzzle even lets you use videos made by other teachers. You can upload a video and add questions or your own narrations (consider copyright etc.). I don't think it allows you to edit their video, but I think it lets you add layers on top.

It also may be good if anyone as explain everything videos that they'd like to embed a quiz in. Rather than having to make a new video for mix. Edpuzzle seems to give the same type of feedback. It seems that you can send it to schoology, etc.

  3. I'll continue talking to myself (that's normal...right?). I've tried www.edpuzzle.com and it looks really great. I uploaded one of my videos and added questions to it. I then made a class and had students sign in (super easy). They are working on it now in class so I can see any trouble. You can assign due dates and times and see the progress they made. You can even prevent them from fast forwarding to find answers to the embedded questions. It also looks like it will tell how much time they spent in certain sections of the video. It seems to work, again, like office mix. But, it would allow you to bring in an explain everything video and add questions to it rather than redoing a video you already have made. AND, if that isn't enough, it allows you to use videos made by other people and edit them as you see fit for your class. You can even share material with a teacher in your building and let them edit as they please. VERY cool functions.

  4. I will look forward to learning more about this tool. I love when new things emerge that really enhance the way we provide content to students.
    Thanks for sharing.
