Jason Jackson reminded me a little while ago about a cool FREE site creator called Weebly. The interface is really easy to use and all the bells and whistles makes me want to leave my Google site and jump on the Weebly bandwagon. I just got my students to access my site through Google so Weebly may be something that I use next year. My advice would be to try different sites out to see which would be best for you, your parents and your students. Happy creating!

  1. I have used this site since I started flipping last year. This service is great, you can password protect your site and limit access to only your students. It is also great because there are no ads and no comments (unless you do a blog page...). I bought the Pro account and it was worth every penny (~$50.00/year). It allows you multiple sites, and tracks page views and unique IP addresses. The pro account allows you to post numerous (I think unlimited) videos and they can be nearly 1 GB each. The kids really like it. I like it since it is very easy to build and personalize. Probably the most user friendly service I have used. Their support was also great the one time I needed it.

  2. What is the difference between weebly and the education version? Should we use the education version?

  3. I use the education one since it gives me 40 accounts if needed for students and 10 websites. This would become a viable option if you want students to create websites or provide a blogging option.
